What do you get when you have 4 humans, 3 dogs and 2 cats in one photo? Well there’s a little bit of chaos and a LOT of laughs! The Wahrers contacted me and wanted to capture their family and if you know the Wahrers, you know they have huge hearts and their animals are part of their families! They have rescued numerous animals from some pretty dire situations. Two of the dogs in their family are senior dogs and one in particular, Jake, was taking a turn for the worse with his health. They knew they didn’t have much time with their adorable lab, so photos with him were a must. Shortly after these photos were taken, Jake was put down the following week. 🙁 I am so honored to have captured these images with their beloved pet.
Savannah, their daughter, is Miss Teen Texas International! With a life-long passion for animals, Savannah’s platform, Saving Our Best Friends, is the cause she will spend her time promoting during her reign as Miss Teen Texas International. She volunteers regularly at local animal shelters and helps homeless pets to develop valuable socialization skills.
Alex, their son, is such a sweetheart. I mean what high school boy do you know that would never complain once about a photo shoot, help carry my gear around, and be a good sport about the whole thing?
Wahrer family, thank you for opening up your beautiful home and allowing me to capture Jake with your family with these lasting images of him. I know one thing for sure, Jakes had an incredible love-filled life because of your compassionate family.
