I had to blog the lemonade mini sessions as we are wrapping up summer in Texas. And by wrapping up summer, I mean school has started, I don’t mean it’s not hot outside. Although it’s usually 130 degrees so I’ll take this 93 degree weather. This was my fourth annual summer stand photos (FOUR!). Last year I did a watermelon stand and while it was fun, I have a special place in my heart for lemonade mini sessions. Yellow just makes me happy. The funny thing is that I don’t even like the taste of lemons/lemonade, but I really love yellow.
This year’s lemonade mini sessions may or may have not involved the police (oopsies). My rule follower self might have had my sweat glands on turbo, but they were very kind and gracious, and we carried on. I’ve finally learned not to do these sessions in July/August. I’m a slow learner. Believe me, there’s a big difference between 91 and 101 degrees. Each of these families were so wonderful and their kids were so great! Something about lemonade just makes kids happy!
Sadly, I think these might be my last stand photos or at least for while. I can’t get myself to part with the stand though. Our family uses to to raise money for Cocoa for a Cause for a family in need every year at Christmas. Plus, my husband built it so I’m a little sentimental about it.
Hope these little rays of sunshine make you smile today!
