Maddyx’s newborn session was really exciting for me. Yes, I’ve done newborns before but 2016 has been a year full of BOYS! I haven’t seen a newborn girl in months. When Maddyx came for her session, I was knee deep in my senior season. While I absolutely love my seniors, it’s nice for a change of pace. Normally 80 degrees in my studio with the heater going has been dripping with sweat but after doing sessions for seniors in triple digit heat, the 80 degree sauna felt like a refreshing breeze.
Maddyx’s mom and grandmother came for their session and the beauty gene is thriving in that family.
It’s every newborn photographer’s dream to capture a newborn smile. It’s rare and hard to capture so we do a little happy dance when it happens. Maddyx smiled not once, not twice but THREE times for her newborn session. Say what you want that it was just gas, but I’ve seen this baby growing up and she seriously never stops smiling so I’m pretty sure they were genuine and she came out with a smile on her face.
These mom and daughter shots…oh my word. I just can’t describe how much they make my heart melt. While we were taking the shot, grandma watched with an adoring eye and started tearing up. Wow, it was incredible to witness, this moment every grandmother treasures to see their daughter holding their daughter. It completely reignited a fire in my passion to see that.
Maddyx was a dream come true and left me with a smile too.
