Baby Pierce’s newborn session was a success! He decided to make his debut into the world weeks early and had a short stay in the NICU but he is doing so well now. He was a tiny little guy and was 5 lbs at birth and by the time of his newborn session broke the 6 lbs mark.
Pierce was a little prankster. Parents get worried anytime bodily functions make an appearance on my blankets or props but I reassure that that it is definitely normal. In fact, it happens every single session! I certainly don’t dress for prom for my sessions. Between having the room really warm for my naked babies and getting pooped and peed on, I make sure to dress the part. I think we might have gone through 3 blanket and wrap changes in a matter of 10 minutes. It definitely made for a good laugh.
I absolutely love these simple setups that we did with Pierce on white. They put the main focus on the baby and their curly bodies. They also remind me of the baby in the womb. Either way, the simplicity just speaks to me.
