Oh how I love this sweet family. I met Jen a couple of years ago when our boys were in the same 1st grade class. She was expecting her third baby, Lennon, when I met her and while on maternity leave she was able to meet up with a group of moms that get together once a week for coffee. It’s one of my highlights of the week because I’m guaranteed adult interaction! 😉 Also, we play “pass the baby” and snuggle up with Lennon and he just eats it up.
I actually did my very first session with them last Christmas and did a glowing Christmas tree session. It was just after Lennon was born so it was a perfect time to capture them.
Jen’s sweet little girl, Ella Reese, has a crush on my middle son. I just adore that sweet girl and her adorable ringlets to pieces. Jen and I just think it’s hilarious to hear their recess shenanigans and we tease them in good fun.
We met up for their session on a cool, 100 degree day. Seriously, they win an award for making it through this session with smiles. It was miserable. No amount of deodorant could contain what was happening. Gotta love Texas in the summer. Her kids didn’t complain one time. The rest of us may or may not have been dripping sweat. We played peek-a-boo, danced, laughed, jumped, read books and snuggled. Because who doesn’t want to snuggle in 100 degree weather, right? 😉
I’m so grateful to have found this family since moving to Burleson. They are wonderful, kind, loving and just great people. Jen recently took a new teaching job with Fridays off which means she gets to join us again for coffee dates. We’re all just really excited about having her back with us again (and to play pass the baby again).
