Sweet baby Hudson. It seems like yesterday I was just taking his newborn photos. And here we are already doing Hudson’s cake smash session. Time is such a thief and my job as a photographer seems to only magnify this.
Hudson’s mama is one of my best friends. She and I were roommates after college and were in each other’s weddings. She is insanely talented. Last year she quit her full time corporate job and opened a little Etsy shop making cards, invitations, banners, etc. It started out small and now people are catching on to how cute and adorable her stuff is.
She’s one of those people that you walk in to her house feeling inspired to just go home and redecorate your entire house. She just has that creative gene and comes up with super cute stuff. So I knew when we started planning for Hudson’s cake smash session, this wasn’t going to be any ordinary session. I knew Kelly would do it up big and cute. And once again, she did not disappoint.
Hudson’s first birthday theme was from the book Where the Wild Things Are. Oh my goodness what an adorable theme. She made all of this….the crown, the chalkboard art, the banner! We did some outdoor photos and then headed to the studio because most cake smashes end with a bath! 😉 All I know about Hudson is that that sweet baby boy loves food, like you better keep it coming while he’s eating or you may get the stink eye from him. We just knew he would tear up his cake but believe it or not, he was not a fan. It’s rare that I do find a one year old that is though.
Love this sweet baby and family to pieces.
