The week leading up to these next bluebonnet mini sessions was pretty high anxiety for me. It was a 90% chance of rain forecasted all week long. Trying to reschedule six families is next to impossible especially during a month that was already really full of sessions. We’ve had one of the wettest springs I can remember. Although we need the rain, it puts a major damper on sessions. But wouldn’t you know that Mother Nature cooperated in the final hour for the bluebonnet mini sessions, thank goodness.
I even sneaked in some photos of my family, thanks to a wonderful client and friend who captured a few! It’s hard to not only capture my family but to find someone who knows how to work my camera that’s never picked it up before. I’m so grateful Mark captured these!
Even though I was Nervous Nelly about the weather and such, the day of the bluebonnet mini sessions was awesome. All the kids were great, all smiles and the blooms were still in full effect, and perfect weather. Can’t really ask for more than that! I always get a little weepy each year as the bluebonnets fade away. They are definitely a Texas treasure and a photographer’s dream.
Down side to all this rain is it causing havoc on sessions, but the bonus is that we’ve seen some of the most beautiful wildflowers this spring, not just bluebonnets.
