My job seriously is the best. I have this huge honor of capturing really big milestones in people’s lives…from newborns, seniors, engagements and now adoption, their forever family.
Adoption has such a special place in my heart. I was adopted by my dad when I was 8 years old and I still can’t quite fully comprehend how that single selfless act changed the trajectory of my life.
On a personal note, our family has been through a lot in the past year and Cisco and Brian were foster parents to my beautiful niece and were absolutely so kind, loving and nurturing to her and we can never repay them for their love.
Cisco and Brian recently adopted THREE precious toddler boys. Pretty sure that qualifies them as superheroes. Their road to become parents has been long but one full of love, determination, and obstacles. The adoption was final the day before our session so while family was in town from all over the US. We definitely had to capture a family photo.
I absolutely love that so many members of both sides of the family came to show their love and support in such a big moment in their lives. Just goes to show the amount of unconditional love in this family.
They welcomed our family to watch their boys get baptized the following day at their church. I’ll just say it. I went into my ugly cry. After seeing the love that they have for their children, each other and to see their church congregation with open arms, it was all just so beautiful.
Cisco and Brian, thank you so much for involving me in not only taking your very first pictures of your forever family but for giving me the opportunity to see your children baptized and meet your remarkable family. What amazing parents you will be. I saw it first hand. Those boys are so blessed as are both of you.
Love absolutely wins.
