Bluebonnet mini sessions are always a Rooted in Love Photography favorite. The problem with spring sessions is that weather and wildflowers aren’t always cooperative but on this day, all the stars aligned! It was a “Camelot day” as my mother-in-law says and the bluebonnets were so beautiful and bright. We could actually smell them. This is one of my favorite bluebonnet locations. I love that it’s not along a highway so I know that kids are safe.
One thing I know for sure. People love them some bluebonnets! I was only planning on doing one day of them but they booked in 30 minutes! So I was talked into doing another day. It’s definitely a Rooted in Love favorite!
Confession: I always get a little nervous with mini sessions because the time is limited and I can’t always work my magic with kids that I normally would have time to do. I’m also shooting in lighting conditions that aren’t always my favorite…sunset. But with the awesome help of Bailey, one of my seniors, we pulled off some images that I’m really proud of, even during the hours that aren’t my favorite to shoot. I absolutely cannot do these sessions without the help of parents or an assistant to help shade for me.
