What is summer without watermelon?! For two years I have done lemonade mini sessions and this year I thought I’d change it up a little with watermelon mini sessions. It was fun revamping my trusty little stand. It’s been multi-purpose for sure…from lemonade to hot cocoa to watermelon.
I loaded up on watermelons at the store and had several people come up and ask me what the secret was to finding the perfect watermelon. Apparently, I looked like an expert. When I explained that I was a Fort Worth photographer and I just picked them by how pretty they were, they found out quickly that I was a poser! 😉
We headed to the field across the street from my house and all the kids were great! I mean I have to say it’s not hard to get smiles when I hand over a juicy huge piece of watermelon in the summer heat. It’s like handing them a giant slice of heaven!
So thankful to Haley and Stacey Price for always been amazing and helping me set this up in the 90 degree heat. Who in their right mind would volunteer to do that? People with big hearts! I’m so incredibly grateful for all their help and they always help things run so smoothly!
Bonus…we had plenty of watermelon for the 4th of July!
