I always love seeing this sweet family and can’t believe that J.D. is a senior already. I was so thrilled to capture his rustic senior session at a family friend’s beautiful land and home. I captured family photos a couple of years ago so it’s hard for me to believe he’s all grown up.
JD is tall, dark and handsome, plays baseball and as sweet as they come. He’s got it all going for him especially that hair. He has awesome hair.
On this very RARE day in a summer filled with heat, we had a huge storm headed our way on this summer day. It was glorious actually having some wind our way for once and not shooting in triple digit heat but I was getting pretty nervous seeing that sky get darker and darker as I drove closer to our session. I never know when I go to senior guy sessions what I’m walking into. Let’s be honest, most senior guys aren’t exactly thrilled about senior photos like my senior girls are. We actually did his session at the same time with one of his close friends. So everything is better when you’re doing it as the same time with a friend, right? JD was such a sweetheart, patient and was up for posing in some really rather itchy conditions.
Just as we took our last photo, it started to rain. I call that success!
